The Pima County Department of Health is working closely with the Arizona Department of Health to prepare for the next phase, which is expected to begin on January 15 in Pima County. On 28 December, the State amended its recommended guidelines to include the over-75s in the Phase 1B group. While the county will move into Phase 1B from January 15, this will not affect any of the older adults in our community, only those under 75. The vaccination figures this week do not include those from CVS and Walgreens, which have received a direct grant from the federal government, but the number of vaccinations is not included in those numbers at this time.
